At ETM we are committed to using low carbon emitting vehicles, running one of the greenest fleets in the area, but we also still believe in giving something back where possible.
As a customer of ETM and by using our services you are helping us, we will pledge to donate £1 from every airport journey we make to our two nominated charities. This will allow us to build up a sizeable donation each year to help both children in developing countries and a tree planting initiative – and we will keep you informed of our donation through our website on a regular basis.
The charities are PLAN, which is one of the largest child-centred community development organisations in the world, helping children and their families in 49 of the poorest countries to break the cycle of poverty.
The other charity, which we have been working closely with is the locally based Aspinall Foundation.
We have been very fortunate and privileged to be involved in the transporting of three baby gorillas for the Aspinall Foundation to a flight specially commissioned by Sir Richard Branson. The gorillas, which were born and raised at Port Lyme in captivity, are to be released back into their natural habitat in the Congo.
